"minardi" (minardi)

I live UpNorth and I have to deal with winter.. Legally need winter tires.
Bought a new car with 19 in wheels but accommodate 18 for winter. So I am looking for steelies.
Dimensions (hard to find) for the wheels are: 8x18 with an offset of 46. Tires to mount on those rims are : 225/40R18 92H.
Can any of you point me to a vendor that sales these (in the US or Canada)?
Nice racing book as a reward to whomever points me in the right direction & purchase!

Every winter I'm reminded how great the North is because of that law. Get your shit together US...

Golf or GTI? That's the same tire size... My Golf has 17" alloys normally so when I picked up the car last January, the dealership installed 16" steelies with winters for me right away. They were offering a package, but I'm unsure of how much I actually saved. The Golf allows 15" winters but I knew I'd be moving up to a GTI shortly so I went with the larger size right away.
Tirerack.com is the obvious choice, but shipping can be overly expensive (I'm in Ottawa). 1010Tires.com is out of BC and I think may be able to offer better shipping/duties but maybe a smaller selection.

The best part about Canada is that the name is so similar to Katana.

No TireRack options? Maybe not steelies but the cheapest alloys they have?

Look at the Pirelli high-performance winter tires, they've got to have something in your size. If this was normal sizes, I'd suggest the Gislaved Nord Frost 5. Good ice performance, great snow and slush performance, very good road feel and ride.
Edit: looks like the 5 has been replaced by the Nordfrost 100.

You can try http://www.pmctire.com/en/ as well, they're based in Quebec.

Only Quebec and a few parts of BC require winter tires by law, actually. I wish every other province mandated them.

I know, that's why I made that comment.

Ah, didn't gather that from your comment. My bad.

Tks BJ but I am looking more for the steelies than the tires.

Oh, oops. Check pmc tires anyways. Did you call your Audi dealer? This time of year there are often deals at the dealership for winter tires and wheels.

Yes, they are the reasons I am looking. The car is too new, they don't have any winter kit (no problem with the tires, just the wheels). The only thing they have is a previous Audi alloy wheel model that was current 4 years ago selling at 400$ ea. They even agree that the price is ridiculous.

Hmm, perhaps that size is less common than I was expecting!
